Believe you can and you’re half way there!

Whether you have recently become a new amputee, or are in need of a new prosthesis, the journey to getting fit with a successful device can be a daunting one. At Vancouver Prosthetics and Orthotics we are happy to help with all aspects of this process from answering questions about funding, to exploring new technologies that will better help you achieve your goals.

At VPO/VOG our team works to provide you with the right prosthesis for your needs. Depending on the individual, this may be something that allows you to complete your activities of daily living – i.e., something more advanced that allows you to climb mountains or run marathons, or achieve any goal that may be in between.

Socket Technology

The socket is the key to achieving success for any prosthetic device – without a proper fitting socket, you and the prosthetic device can’t function to its maximized potential. Care and attention to detail are of the utmost importance when achieving a proper fitting socket. Whether it be a plaster hand cast or the latest 3D scanning technology, your clinician at VPO will ensure you get a fit that is best for you.
