Prosthetics for the film industry

Vancouver Orthopedic Group is well known for creative problem solving abilities and being able to provide unique custom solutions for often complex and varied needs.

As a result we get requests from different organizations and individuals for our expertise in creating unique custom devices for non-medical use such as for movie special effects and props. Our work has been featured in many movies, TV shows and documentaries filmed in Vancouver. Recently we created a below knee prosthetic leg to be worn by the actress Zhu Zhu (Marco Polo, Cloud Atlas, Last Fight) who plays an amputee in the movie Two/One due to be released in fall 2018.
